Our Ministries

First Beginnings

Our nursery on Sunday morning loves children from birth until they are potty trained and ready for classroom teaching. Our trained and vetted volunteers enjoy caring for children so parents can enjoy the service.

Young Learners

From preschool through 1st grade, our little ones learn with many hands-on activities. Professional teachers prepare specific curriculum to meet their young learning needs. Our goal is to establish the core beliefs of Christianity in these early years.

Firm Foundations

From 2nd through 5th grade, our children receive the foundations of Christianity. They dive deep into the core beliefs and have plenty of opportunities to ask their inquisitive questions. We also offer a special class for those interested in Baptism and Communion.

Youth

Every Thursday night from 6-7:30pm, our youth (6th-12th grade) gather for food, Bible teaching, and fun activities. This is a very important age to help our teens navigate the false teachings in our world. Our youth are also encouraged to begin serving regularly in our many ministries.

Young Adults

We don’t expect seniors to graduate from church too. That is why we have a vibrant young adult group. This is a busy time of life which is why it is so important to stay grounded in faith. Our young adults meet every Saturday at 11am at EOS coffee house.

Men

Our men meet on the third Monday for dinner, fellowship, and a great message. All men need to gather to encourage and pray for one another. We also offer a 12 week class for men (Freedom Group) to overcome past hurts and build better relationships.

Women

Our women have various groups meeting to learn and grow in their faith. We are blessed to have many great women teachers. They also have a 12 week class (Freedom Group) to overcome past hurts and build better relationships.

Biblical Counseling

We offer free Biblical counseling to anyone in need. We have trained counselors willing to walk with anyone through difficult times. We believe the Bible is sufficient and authoritative for understanding and addressing all issues of life.

Food Pantry

Our food ministry gives away a box of food, drinks, produce, and bread every Saturday from 10am-12pm. We serve over 100 families each week. All food is sorted and boxed up on Friday’s beginning at 10am. Volunteers are always needed.

BFIA

Barry and Lynda Brockert began Bernadette’s Faith in Action in 2018 to do and help others do. They have many ministries that involve the community including a 24-7 food and clothing pantry and a baby pantry. They share the building with us, so if you want to get involved, just ask Barry, and he will put you to work.

Love Life

Love Life is a nationwide ministry that unites and mobilizes churches to end abortion. Each summer we partner with them for a week of prayer and action. The Sunday before the prayer walk, we preach a message on the sanctity of life. On Wednesday, we fast and pray. Then, on Saturday, we gather with other churches at a local abortion clinic to peacefully pray.

House of Refuge

In connection with Love Life, we are a church that welcomes anyone encountering an unplanned pregnancy. We walk with parents through the whole process, and help them with whatever needs they may have.

FCA

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a worldwide ministry that ministers to coaches and athletes. Every summer they offer a multi-sports camp at Spring Arbor University. Every week during the school year, local campuses have weekly huddles to help engage, equip, and empower.

Camp Restore

Camp Restore Detroit seeks to end poverty, reduce violence, and restore hope in a specific area one family at a time. They minister through house projects, weekly meals, and children’s programs. We volunteer by assisting in various projects.
